Claire has worked in Veterinary practice since 1996. She qualified as an RVN in 2005 from The college of Animal welfare and has a wealth of experience at looking after your pets. In 2001 she volunteered to help neuter more than 200 stray cats in Spain which she thoroughly enjoyed.
She joined Ashcroft in September 2012 after working for practices in Manchester and the Wirral. She is a senior member of the team and also provides training as a clinical coach to one of our student nurses.
Claire is hoping to have a Cockapoo puppy of her own soon to keep her on her toes.
In her spare time she like to keep fit through running and playing tennis, she also enjoys eating out with family and friends.
Marianne Baron RVN
Nichola began working as a Veterinary nurse in 2009 in Melbourne, Australia and qualified in 2012.
After returning to the UK and registering as an RVN she joined us here at Ashcroft in June 2013. She has a keen interest in canine and feline behaviour and hope to gain further qualifications in these areas in the future. At home she has two dogs, Sam and Penny and two cats Missy and Junior, who all made the big move from down under, along with husband David.
Marianne graduated from Hartpury College, Gloucester with a degree in veterinary nursing science in 2013. Marianne joined the team here at Ashcroft in August 2014, she enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing but particularly enjoys running nursing clinics.
Outside of work Marianne enjoys horse riding, reading and swimming. Marianne lives with two cheeky cats called Alfie and George, who she is trying to teach tricks to! She also has a Guinea Pig called Simon.
Lisa has worked at Ashcroft Veterinary Surgery as a nursing assistant since 2001. Lisa is particularly dedicated to caring for the hospitalised animals, ensuring they receive all the medical treatment prescribed by the vet but also that extra TLC while they are staying with us.
Lisa has owned many pets over the years including hamsters, dogs, horses and tropical fish. She current shares her home with 6 Geckos and her partner Daniel.
During her spare time Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, watching films and walking.
After always having a passion for all animals for as long as she can remember Carly qualified as a vet nurse January 2006 where she worked at a practice on the Wirral, she joined the nursing team at Ashcroft Vets July 2006 and went on to become Head Vet nurse July 2013. She enjoys all aspects of her job but has a special enthusiasm for surgical nursing and anaesthesia. Carly is compassionate, energetic and really enjoys being part of the team.
When she is not being kept busy at home with her little girl and very energetic springer spaniel, Carly enjoys maintaing a healthy lifestyle, practicing yoga, a gym junkie and a keen runner.
Sophie started coming to Ashcroft in 2009 as a work experience student. She worked here part time during her Veterinary care assistant course, and finally joined the team full time in July 2013.
Sophie attends Lite college and is progressing through her training to become a Registered Veterinary nurse. Sophie particularly enjoys looking after our inpatients, giving them plenty of TLC.
Outside of work, Sophie spends her time with friends, family and her two mischievious kittens !
